iEducate’s purpose is to inspire leadership and enrich communities through educational service. We prepare and equip college students to tutor high-needs students in local Title I elementary schools to improve student outcomes while providing invaluable work experience and credentials, strengthening Houston’s teacher pipeline. Since 2013, iEducate has engaged over 2,000 tutors to support more than 40,000 Houston elementary students in over 200 Houston-area schools.

Position Summary
The Vice President of Business Development plays a critical leadership role in driving iEducate’s revenue growth by building and expanding partnerships with school districts, educator preparation programs (EPPs), workforce development organizations, and other strategic stakeholders. This position requires a results-driven leader capable of developing and executing a sustainable revenue growth strategy. The VP of Business Development will be responsible for generating new partnerships, establishing a diversified revenue model, and leading district and campus engagement strategies to solidify iEducate’s presence in the education space.

Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth:
- Achieve revenue targets through district sales, workforce development funding, and fee-for-service contracts.
- Establish partnerships with school districts, campuses, and workforce organizations to drive revenue.
- Diversified Revenue Model:
- Develop and implement a diversified revenue model to reduce dependency on a single source of funding.
- Create a 3-5 year sustainability plan focused on new revenue streams, including services to schools and workforce programs.
- District/Campus Engagement Strategy:
- Design and execute an engagement strategy to enhance iEducate’s presence in schools.
- Generate and negotiate contracts with districts to expand market reach.
- Sales Pipeline and Partnerships:
- Build and manage a sales pipeline across multiple districts and regions for expansion.
- Cultivate relationships with educational and workforce development leaders to position iEducate as a sector leader.
- Internal Systems:
- Develop business development processes that align with organizational goals, supporting seamless operations in partnerships, sales, and funding acquisition.
Core Competencies/Knowledge and Skills
- Strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead business development initiatives, develop strong partnerships, and close deals.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills with a history of securing revenue-generating partnerships.
- Experience working within the educational sector or related workforce development organizations.
- Strong project management abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to lead multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficient in CRM systems, sales pipeline management tools, and other business development platforms.
Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably within education or workforce development sectors.
- Proven success in achieving revenue targets and building long-term partnerships.
Other Requirements
- Ability to travel as required to meet with district partners and stakeholders.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Compensation
As a growing startup nonprofit, we understand that our base salary offering will not be as competitive as we would like. However, we are committed to rewarding success and high performance. This role has a base pay of $90,000 - $105,000, but will include a performance-based bonus tied to the revenue generated from new partnerships or contracts, offering a competitive incentive structure and providing the opportunity for additional compensation based on contributions to iEducate's growth and sustainability.
