As a Vice President, AI and Operations Automation Lead in Tax operations, you will define and lead the automation vision, operating model, governance, and multi-quarter roadmap aligned to business goals. You will manage end-to-end automation delivery, from discovery through deployment and continuous improvement, while maintaining well-controlled execution. You will partner with stakeholders and technology teams to build durable capabilities, coach talent, and demonstrate measurable operational benefits

Job responsibilities
  • Define the AI and intelligent automation vision, target operating model, governance standards, and multi-quarter roadmap aligned to business goals
  • Lead end-to-end automation engagements including requirements gathering, solution design, build, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement while adhering to control and governance requirements
  • Partner with stakeholders to define the operational automation strategy and collaborate with technology teams to establish infrastructure needed to support the capability
  • Design and manage automation solutions that increase capacity, reduce operational risk, and streamline processes
  • Track and communicate outcomes by defining, managing, and reporting objectives, performance indicators, and benefit metrics with stakeholders
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • 7 years of experience delivering intelligent automation and business analysis outcomes
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience gathering and analyzing complex data to develop accurate conclusions and communicate implications, including risk considerations
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving methods to assess operating models, anticipate issues, and use technology appropriately to mitigate risk
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more automation platforms and relevant programming or scripting languages used to build automation solutions
  • Experience coaching and directing less-experienced team members on automation tools and delivery practices
  • Experience developing and delivering training or enablement materials for workflow automation tools and practices
  • Experience creating dashboards and performance reporting to support strategic planning and operational monitoring
  • Proficiency using automation and analytics tools such as Alteryx, UiPath, and similar platforms, and proficiency programming in SQL and Python
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience leading delivery across solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support for automation solutions
  • Alteryx certification
  • Experience working with AI models or AI-enabled solutions in an operational setting
  • Experience leading teams through the adoption of AI-enabled analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to improve operational efficiency and accuracy, reduce manual effort, and support consistent, well-controlled execution through coaching, change adoption, and continuous improvement
