You will be responsible for designing, implementing, governing, socializing, training, monitoring, and continuously improving the control framework that enables safe and responsible adoption of agentic AI ways of working across both Technology and Business organizations. 

As a Vice President, Agentic Controls Governance Lead in Consumer and Community Banking, you will design, implement, and mature the control framework that enables safe, responsible, and scalable adoption of agentic AI capabilities. You will work across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Controls, Compliance, Legal, and Audit to identify emerging risks, establish governance standards, define monitoring and reporting expectations, and drive practical adoption of agentic controls.  

You will help ensure innovation advances with clear accountability, transparency, human oversight, operational readiness, and measurable business value. This work will focus on emerging risk areas including decision quality, knowledge and context integrity, intent preservation, human oversight, value realization, operational readiness, and AI governance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the agentic controls framework across business and technology organizations.
  • Design control strategies that support AI-enabled product development, business operations, decision-making, and agentic workflow adoption. 
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit, and Technology stakeholders to establish and operationalize governance requirements. 
  • Develop control standards for emerging AI and agentic risks, including decision quality, intent preservation, knowledge integrity, human oversight, operational readiness, and value realization. 
  • Establish governance processes, escalation protocols, issue management practices, exception handling, and evidence expectations for agentic AI adoption and utilization. 
  • Define monitoring processes, key risk indicators, key performance indicators, reporting standards, and executive dashboards to assess control effectiveness and adoption readiness. 
  • Lead communication, socialization, and training efforts that help business and technology teams understand and adopt agentic controls. 
  • Assess emerging agentic technologies, operating models, AI-assisted development practices, AI-generated artifacts, and delivery approaches to identify control implications. 
  • Facilitate governance forums and working groups that oversee responsible agentic AI adoption, control execution, and framework maturity. 
  • Develop executive-ready materials, recommendations, and reporting for senior leaders, governance forums, and cross-functional stakeholders.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in Controls, Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, Technology Risk, Product Governance, or related disciplines.
  • Experience working with AI-enabled and agentic technologies including GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI-based solutions, AI assistants, coding agents, and agentic workflow platforms
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and maturing governance and control frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk management principles and control design methodologies.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and product delivery practices.
  • Experience developing governance processes, operating models, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational change in a matrixed environment.

  • Experience implementing governance, controls, risk management, or oversight processes for AI and emerging technologies.
