VCA Chatoak Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time, experienced Veterinary Assistant to join the team at our AAHA-accredited, full-service hospital in Granada Hills, CA.
Salary: $ 23 - $ 25 / hr. Depending on experience/credentials. Shift differential Friday - Sunday
Schedule: Full-Time, 4 PM to midnight / 5 days a week. Weekends are a must. 2 holiday shifts a year

- Veterinary Assistant experience
- Availability for full-time evening shifts, approximately 4 PM to midnight, five days per week
- Weekend availability
- Availability to work two holiday shifts per year
- Ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessments
- Ability to monitor anesthesia
- Surgical preparation and assisting experience
- Laboratory work experience
- Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and IV fluid therapy skills
- Animal handling and restraint skills
- Ability to administer IM, IV, and SQ injections
- Digital radiography experience
- Nursing care and hospitalization treatment experience
