Your Role
As a Business Development Intern, you analyze our data and thus make a fundamental contribution to our business success. You will gain hands-on experience at one of Europe's fastest-growing unicorns in the e-commerce space, working on meaningful projects with real impact on business operations and strategic decisions. You’ll benefit from structured learning opportunities to develop your analytical and business skills, all within a collaborative, innovative work environment that embraces startup culture.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing SQL, Phyton and other analytical tools to extract and interpret data, providing actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Tracking, analyzing, and reporting key business performance metrics to drive informed decision-making and optimize business outcomes.
- Evaluating and enhancing existing processes, leveraging data analytics to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Working cross-functionally with teams in operations, tech, and finance to translate business needs into data-driven recommendations.
- Leveraging business acumen and commerce knowledge to support leadership with in-depth business analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Identifying optimization opportunities in supply chain, warehouse operations, and fulfillment processes.
- Researching and recommending new tools and technologies that can enhance our data analytics capabilities.
- Designing and implementing automated reporting solutions that provide stakeholders with real-time visibility into operational KPIs.
- Building and maintaining interactive dashboards that visualize complex data in an accessible format for various business units.
Your Profile
To succeed in this role you:
- Completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics or Business Analytics).
- Possess experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong interest for AI concepts and AI-driven analytics.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, SQL and Phyton. Other programming languages such as R or SAS are a plus.
- Hold strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Showcase excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams; fluency in English is required.
- Show enthusiasm for e-commerce, startups, and data-driven decision making.
- Previous internships or experience in entrepreneurial, consulting, or high-growth business settings
- Exhibit the ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
- Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Show curiosity and initiative in approaching new challenges.
- Have the ability to work independently while knowing when to ask for guidance.
- Demonstrate interest in career growth in business intelligence, analytics, or venture development.
- Bring a fresh perspective and innovative thinking to operational challenges.
