POSITION SUMMARY
The Vendor Compliance Specialist will report to the Manager, Vendor Compliance and will help support retailer and supplier vendor compliance in North America. We are looking for an individual with a strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of vendor compliance processes. The primary responsibility will be to assist in ensuring that vendors comply with all established guidelines and requirements set forth by our retail partners in North America.
This role requires an individual with a passion for vendor compliance and operational process development, as well as the ability to adapt to changing trends. Successful candidates will focus on investigation compliance-related deductions, contributing to optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting the overall improvement of compliance processes to drive business success.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIIBILITES
Vendor Compliance Support:

  • Assist in monitoring vendor compliance with established guidelines and retailer requirements.
  • Support compliance audits and assessments to ensure vendor adherence to standards.
  • Communicate non-compliance issues promptly and help track corrective actions.


Process Support & Documentation:

  • Help maintain compliance documentation and internal records related to vendor performance.
  • Assist in preparing training materials and guidance documents for vendors.
  • Support cross-functional teams in implementing process improvements to enhance compliance efficiency.
  • Assist in document retrieval for internal and external audits.
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing requested documentation in a timely manner


Issue Resolution & Reporting:

  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related disputes or discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
  • Support internal teams in gathering necessary data to dispute chargebacks or compliance penalties.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to address root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Help generate and update reports on vendor compliance performance using Excel and internal tracking tools.


Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Work closely with internal teams such as logistics, operations, and sales to support vendor compliance efforts.
  • Help identify areas for operational improvement and contribute to streamlining compliance workflows.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and compliance trends.


ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate level, including data entry and reporting).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented with respect to ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years of experience in vendor compliance, supply chain, retail operations, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working with retail compliance requirements and chargeback resolution.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes and vendor management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
