About the Role
This role is about investigating and troubleshooting technical issues found in Geely vehicles. It involves reproducing software and hardware problems, collecting and analyzing vehicle data logs to identify root causes, and tracking issues through JIRA. The position also supports the handling of warranty parts and ensures issues are progressed and reported in a timely manner. Overall, it combines hands-on vehicle diagnostics, problem-solving, and coordination with engineering teams to help improve vehicle quality and reliability.
What You Will Do
- Execute static & dynamic issue replication testing for both HW and SW issues, related to all Geely brand vehicles served (Geely, Volvo EX30, Polestar 4)
- Retrieve required logs from the vehicle to support root-cause analysis (CAN, FR & LIN logs, DHU logs, TCAM logs etc…)
- Update the related JIRA tickets according to defined KPI targets set by the business
- Support the team in managing incoming field warranty parts & in-vehicle installation, guaranteeing a quick turnaround (analyse, forward, scrap)
- Manage independently and with limited supervision the assigned JIRA issues [D0-D3 of 8D process], report the status and escalate blocking points to line manager.
- Ensure data log analysis is carried out, whenever possible, in order to understand the root-cause of issues.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Experience in whole-vehicle testing, especially in the infotainment, connectivity or EE fields & technical reporting.
- Experience in extracting CAN, FR, LIN logs, including installation/modifications of related CAN-harnesses when required.
- Proficient with Vector tools (i.e. CANo, CANape) and DSA.
- Previous experience in extracting, reading and analyzing TCAM and DHU log files for Geely 2.0 or 3.0 architecture is highly desired.
- Experience in connectivity and infotainment domains is essential.
- Fluent in English.
- Flexible regarding travels to EU countries, other oversea markets if needed, for investigation of issues on-site.
- Driver License (Class B) is a must.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience with ADAS testing and functions is highly beneficial.
- Experience in other vehicle systems (Propulsion, High Voltage, Chassis, Vehicle Engineering) is beneficial.
- Notion in German and Chinese would be a plus.
