We are a leading marketing agency specializing in rare disease pharmaceuticals. Our team is dedicated to creating impactful patient & HCP-centric experiences that help educate and empower communities within the rare disease space. We’re looking for a passionate UX/UI Specialist to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of rare disease marketing through thoughtful and engaging digital design.

Role Overview:

The UX/UI Specialist will play a critical role in designing intuitive, compliant, and innovative digital experiences for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges in the pharmaceutical industry, including the nuances of building websites, web apps, banner ads, emails, interactive experiences, and more tailored for rare disease treatments, while navigating the complex pharma med/legal review process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, content, development) to design user-centered digital products, including websites, web apps, banner ads, emails, interactive experiences, and more for rare disease patients & HCPs.
  • Conduct user research, including user interviews, personas, journey mapping, and usability testing, to ensure patient-friendly experiences.
  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Figma, focusing on accessibility and scalability across various digital platforms.
  • Ensure all digital designs comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations, including the med/legal review process, and align with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with our creative team & developers to implement designs, providing assets and specifications to ensure seamless execution for websites, web apps, banner ads, email templates, interactive experiences, and more.
  • Optimize user interfaces for usability and experience across different devices (mobile, tablet, desktops), browsers, and environments.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, particularly within pharma and healthcare, and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or Specialist, ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical med/legal review processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience designing websites, web apps, banner ads, and email campaigns for the pharma industry, with a focus on accessibility (WCAG standards).
  • Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of front-end development practices (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and their influence on design decisions.
  • Deep knowledge of email and banner ad design limitations (e.g., time limits on animated banner ads, Outlook & Gmail email limitations)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively.
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant experience in UX/UI design, particularly in healthcare or pharma-focused projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with rare disease-focused projects.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or custom solutions used in the pharmaceutical space.
  • Familiarity with pharma email platforms, such as Veeva, IQVIA OCE, and Salesforce
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, such as Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, and IQVIA Lasso
  • Experience with creating accessible content following WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
