Role Summary:
Futronics, a global leading AI robotic company, is looking for a Product (UI/UX) Design Intern to join
the product design team in Pasadena. You will have the unique opportunity to help establish and support
the PRODUCT DESIGN from UI/UX perspective for the Futronics team's innovative next-generation
service robots.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Support and conduct continuous user research including interviews, on-site visits, and collecting
market feedback
• Design highly interactive and responsive user interfaces applying design thinking principles
• Join forces with industrial designers, front end developers, hardware and software engineering
teams in bringing concept designs to life
• Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to institute branding and aesthetic guidelines
• Support prototyping projects and build low-fi/hi-fi mock-ups using wireframes
• Work closely with product team to identify opportunities for new products
• Participate in define, architect and develop high quality design for existing and new products
• Participate in set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners
• Design new features and frameworks for B2B service robots
• Track the evolution of state-of-the-art service robots and UX trends across new technologies
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
• Work experience as a Product Designer intern, UI/UX Designer intern, or similar role
• Degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Psychology/Psychology, Graphic
Design, Communication Studies, Library Science or related fields
• Experience designing interactive products and applications at scale
• Demonstrable portfolio of visual and interaction designs
• Think deeply about user problems and make rational design decisions, humble and eager to
iterate on designs based on customer feedback.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment to deliver well-designed products
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving, presentation, and communication skills
