We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to create compelling experience for our Developer Portal as part of the Software Product Experience team. 

About the Team 

The Software Product Experience team provides compelling software that meets customers’ specific needs, unlocks value of ADI digital and analog products, and ensures easy integration into customer solutions at the application level. We work at the intersection between hardware and software experiences to achieve ADIs core customer goals and drive product innovation.

About the Role 

We are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to join our growing UX Design team. As a UX/UI Designer for Analog Devices’ Developer Portal, you will design an intuitive, user-centric platform that empowers software engineers to seamlessly discover, integrate, and leverage ADI’s technologies. Your work will ensure that customers can quickly access the tools, documentation, APIs, SDKs, and community support they need to successfully integrate ADI technology into their solutions. By streamlining workflows and delivering engaging, efficient designs, you will reduce the barriers to adoption and maximize the value of ADI’s technology offerings. 

 

This role blends creativity with technical acumen, requiring a designer who can understand complex engineering needs and translate them into clear, accessible experiences for a global audience of developers. 

Responsibilities 

As UX/UI Designer on a cross functional team, you will ensure that all elements of the developer experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual standards, translating abstract ideas into tangible and engaging concepts. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Helping to foster cross channel developer collaboration and engagement through the design of clear, easy-to-use interfaces for the Developer Portal, APIs, SDKs, and other technical resources. 

  • Enhancing the usability and accessibility of ADI’s external facing platforms, ensuring engineers can efficiently integrate and use Analog Devices products in their projects. 

  • Developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups to test and refine ideas, incorporating feedback from usability studies and analytics. 

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders, including Product Managers, Engineers, and Marketing, to ensure the Developer Portal aligns with ADI’s business goals and user needs and design standards. 

  • Creating interactive prototypes and wireframes to test solution concepts balancing user desirability and technical feasibility.  

  • Overseeing and aiding in conducting concept and usability-testing. 

  • Participating in design reviews and sharing your work regularly with the design team and business leadership. 

  • Crisply articulating design decisions, iterating quickly and collaborating seamlessly with Product Managers and Developers. 

  • Collaborating with Design and Development on production ready UI components. 

  • Collaborating with the Design System team on updating existing components and creating new components. 

All about you 

Must have skills: 

  • 2-4+ years' industry experience in UX/UI design, preferably within a technical or developer-focused environment. 

  • User focused with a strong understanding of the business requirements. 

  • Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices. 

  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into simple, user-friendly designs. 

  • Proficient with the latest Figma methodologies and architectural standards. 

  • Good knowledge of design and accessibility principles. 

  • Working knowledge of Agile and other common project management models. 

  • Broad familiarity with Developer workflow and tools. 

Nice to have skills: 

  • Familiarity with developer workflows, APIs, SDKs, and related concepts that impact the experience of software engineers. 

  • Broad familiarity or knowledge of Electronic Engineering (EE) concepts.

  • Curious and interested in experimenting with emerging technologies. 

  • Passion for working with other Designers to help each other learn and grow. 

  • Skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and craves feedback to help improve quality of end-product. 

  • Good command and high dexterity of speed and quality in use of standard design and development applications, e.g., Figma, Miro, Jira.
