Job Description
TuneCore is looking for a passionate designer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in a role focused on UX & UI Design. A strong portfolio showcasing customer-obsessed design work and proficiency with software like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD is essential. The ideal candidate appreciates how brilliant design influences, motivates, and inspires customers, thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment, and has a proven track record as an individual contributor. Experience in the music industry and a true passion for music are highly desirable. Additional skills in HTML, JS, and CSS, as well as familiarity with project management tools like Asana and Jira, would be a significant advantage.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead design and user experience for all new and existing TuneCore products
- Own the end-to-end experience and processes for UX/UI
- Partner with our Research team to thoroughly explore and understand our clients needs, desires, and concerns
- Leverage data about user behavior to build experiences for our clients that delights them and solves their problems or frustrations
- Design sketches, wireframes, and prototypes for user testing
- Create visually stunning designs that makes TuneCore a brand that artist love
- Iterate off of and challenge all current and future experiences. Create a continuous cycle of testing and improvement
- Partner with Marketing to maintain a robust design system that follows brand guidelines
- Be a an integral part of developing new and exciting tools and services for millions of artists all around the world

For the fourth annual study, BE THE CHANGE: Gender Equity in Music, MIDiA Research surveyed more than 4,100 members of the music industry—with a predominant focus on creators—in an effort to better understand their struggles and provide tangible strategies to help them overcome their challenges. Our intent for this study is to inspire meaningful change in the industry.
