The position
In this exciting opportunity you will be a part of our Operational Technology (OT) integration team in the Global Intralogistics & Future OT (GILFOT) department. We are looking for a UX/UI designer to support us to shape the user experience and overall design strategy for our product - a digital and data-driven solution to optimize manufacturing operations, enhance efficiency, and enable real-time decision-making on our factory floor.
Your daily work will be focused on the success of the product and its value to end-users. You will collaborate closely with the product owner, engineers and other stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring seamless and user-centric design process from discovery to delivery.
Additionally, your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct studies of user-needs and business objectives, where you will be leading activities of user-research, writing user-stories, mapping user-journeys and workflows.
- Contribute to value-proposition and roadmaps.
- Turn insights into easy-to-use solutions, including high-level conceptual sketches and interactive prototypes.
- Play a key role in the continuous enhancement and refinement of the product through monitoring, analysis, and iterative improvements.
- Constantly validate and refine ideas with real users, collecting new insights to assess the value of proposed features.
- Work closely with several internal and external stakeholders, while promoting efficient collaboration with colleagues.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
- A relevant master's degree the fields such as user experience, digital design, techno-anthropology, communication and IT, information systems, or another relevant field.
- Strong experience with UX methodologies such as: design thinking, the double diamond model, creative thinking, problem solving and the application of User Centered Design (UCD).
- Proficiency in interface design, experience with design systems and CVI application, as well as an awareness and curiosity towards trends in user interface design.
- Experience with prototyping and design tools such as Figma.
- Confidence in planning and facilitating workshops offline as well as online, using tools such as Miro and FigJam.
- Demonstrable experience collaborating in agile project teams with software developers, scrum masters, product owners etc.
- Fluency in English and able to communicate effectively with different stakeholders across the organization.
As an individual, you possess strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently across multiple disciplines. You also can navigate a large and complex organization.
About the department
Device Manufacturing Development (DMD) is responsible of the industrialisation of all medical devices at Novo Nordisk. We are an end-to-end corporate organisation developing products for high volume production, establishing control strategy of the product, developing, and implementing the production equipment at the production site all over the world, and developing innovative and digital solutions to our processes.
Within DMD, this position is located in the Global IL & Future Operational Technologies department, which explore manufacturing and operational technologies and transform it into applicable solutions and standards used for enhancing production capacity and operational effectiveness.
