We are seeking a UX Researcher for our portfolio of FinTech products and destinations including Quicken Loans. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Design and UX Research, you will be responsible for gathering qualitative insights to support the reimagining of the Quicken Loans platform experience. Your expertise will help us make product decisions that positively impact millions of consumers looking to purchase a home, refinance a home, or gain access to personal loans.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, coordinate, execute, and monitor research activities including tool and method selection, participant recruitment, conducting generative and evaluative studies, and synthesizing and sharing out findings.
  • Identify use cases, quantify problems, and be a champion for running experiments that result in innovation and exceeding consumer expectations.
  • Create thoughtful and actionable readouts and recommendations for continuous improvement by considering quantitative and qualitative data; behavioral analytics, A/B testing, feature-flag experiments, benchmark studies, design thinking workshops and user survey feedback.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, marketers, technologists, and business stakeholders to transform findings into recommendations that inspire change.
  • Drive impact by proficiently advocating your research to a cross-functional audience.
  • Conduct research that will lend itself toward helping us learn how to continuously create inclusive experiences and that drives engagement, acquisition, and retention.
  • Bring inspiring and creative ideas into an energetic and collaborative team that is nimble and moves fast to get value into consumers’ hands.
  • Be relentlessly obsessed with quality, usability, and accessibility.
  • Coordinate research strategy with outside research agencies when applicable.
  • Provide mentorship to other UXRs.

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a startup, a direct-to-consumer business or consumer-centric company.
  • Expert proficiency in designing and facilitating usability ad qualitative studies, crafting and administering (ideally) bias-free/minimally-biased surveys and contextual studies.
  • Proven experience gathering research for mobile-first, as well as responsive design and/or progressive web app experiences.
  • A clear understanding of WCAG, usability, user-centered design, and design thinking.
  • Proven experience conducting research supporting ancillary touchpoints such as email, SMS, and chat-based interactions.
  • Successful management of stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Bachelor or advanced degree in research-related field, such as human factors, psychology, anthropology, or equivalent experience.
