We are looking for a thoughtful and driven UX Researcher to join our team for a 3-month contract with the opportunity for an extension! The ideal candidate will have experience executing evaluative research and be a fierce advocate for our members and their experiences. Our research philosophy is to appropriately balance speed and efficiency with rigor while ensuring we maintain curiosity, empathy, and a passion for solving problems. In this role, you’ll be able to partner closely with senior researchers and deliver impactful insights for our Pick’Em product!

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Lead UX Researcher to plan and execute research studies using a variety of qualitative methods including usability testing, in-depth interviews, concept testing, etc.
  • Develop research materials (e.g., discussion guides), recruit participants, moderate/facilitate research sessions, and synthesize research findings
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights and strategic narratives through compelling storytelling and creative artifacts, reports, and read-outs
  • Communicate research findings, insights, and recommendations clearly and effectively to key stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and engineers

What you have:

  • 6+ months of relevant experience in UX Research, Design Research, or Human Factors Engineering
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Psychology, Human Factors, HCI, Anthropology, or related field
  • Experience with qualitative research methods and proficiency with executing/moderating evaluative studies (e.g., usability testing)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with and influence stakeholders 
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt, with the ability to incorporate feedback and demonstrate continuous growth and improvement
  • Knowledge/experience with remote testing tools (e.g., dscout, UserTesting, UserZoom, etc.)
  • Familiarity (or a passion!) with sports, daily fantasy, sports betting, etc…
