The Role
Build production-quality frontend UIs from prototypes, maintain and evolve a design system (components, accessibility, motion), identify and fix UX friction, prototype and measure improvements, and collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts for smooth UX.
Summary Generated by Built In
We're a VC-funded, Swiss-based startup looking for a talented UX Engineer.
Generative AI will transform fashion content creation, but managing (searching, culling, selecting) amoong tens of thousands of images is a complicated. Editing them in the browser using AI (hence probabilistic) algorithm in a userfriendly way is the second big challenge.
We want to build a product that our business user love to use.
Tasks
* Take user flows and prototypes to production-quality UI — and improve them along the way
* Steward the design system: component library, accessibility, motion language, cross-surface consistency
* Champion UX quality — find friction in operator workflows, prototype, measure, improve
* Shape API contracts with backend engineers so the UX can be good (pagination, loading/error states, optimistic updates)
Requirements
* Mid-to-senior frontend engineering experience in Web technologies. Most likely you have around 3–5+ years of professional experience, but the real bar is ownership, judgment, and shipping quality. You know everything about CSS.
* A demonstrable UX-engineering body of work — interactions, animation, accessibility, design-system thinking (portfolio required, see below)
* Strong product instinct — you can argue _why_ a UX detail matters, not just implement it
* Use AI agents in a sensible workflow, without letting the model take over your critical thinking
Benefits
1. Autonomy & Impact: You won't be a ticket-taker. You'll have the agency to own the ux developement lifecycle for core features, from hypothesis to production, and see your work ship.
2. Competitive Compensation & Equity: We offer a top-tier salary and a meaningful stock option plan. We want you to have a real stake in what you're building.
3. A Lean, Expert Team: You'll work directly with the founders in a fast-paced environment, free from corporate bureaucracy.
4. Hybrid Work Model: We think that being in the same room often boosts productivity, so we want you in the office at least 2 days per week. But we have no schedule. You decide when to work to maximise your productivity.
If you're an engineer who is obsessed with the generative space and wants to apply your skills to hard problems with real-world impact, we would love to hear from you.
Our interview process is straightforward:
1\. You share your github + portoflio + CV
2\. Technical challenge
3\. A chat with the founders
