This is a remote position.

For an international institution, we are urgently looking for a full remote UX designer – User Experience (BI). As UX designer – User Experience (BI) in the Business Intelligence unit, you are responsible for the visual design and development of the next generation of the Business Intelligence portal (inSight). S/he will report to the Business Intelligence frontend specialist.

Candidates need to be fluent in English. All positions are long-term. Candidates need to be able to work 5-6 hours in the European time zone.


Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Create wireframes, prototypes, mockups for business intelligence applications;
  • Create graphic resources and icons for the BI portal, dashboards, and reports;
  • Collaborate with other team members in the development tasks;
  • Assist in usability testing and other user experience research methods to gather user needs or feedback;
  • Assist in the development and documentation of design system and base templates;
  • Perform quality assurance of user interface implementation;
  • Other design tasks, as requested by the unit manager or section chief;


Profile:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or Graphic design, or equivalent professional experience.
  • +5 years of related experience designing wireframes and high-fidelity comprehensive mockups for data-driven websites and/or data visualization applications;
  • +5 years of related experience using tools such as Sketch, Figma, InVision, or Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.);
  • +3 years of experience using data visualization tools such as MS Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc;
  • +3 years of experience applying human-centered design research methodologies;
  • +3 years web design experience in a large corporate or non-profit setting;
  • Experience in the design and UX implications of different data visualizations, including best practices for reports, dashboards, and charts;
  • Experience in advanced data visualization development using D3 is a plus;
  • Experience SharePoint design is a plus;
  • Deep understanding and practical hands-on applying usability, user experience, and user-centered design concepts;
  • Experience using Git versioning system;
  • Experience in Scrum/Agile environments (Jira, Azure DevOps);
  • Fluent in English;
