Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a UX Designer to join our PS – GDC Digital team in Kuala Lumpur. You’ll work as a core member of project teams, contributing to the design of intuitive, performant digital experiences for insurance customers, agents, and internal users on the Guidewire platform (including Jutro).
Your Role as a UX Designer
As a UX Designer, together with our colleagues, we strategically solve business realities and execute scalable solutions for enterprise and customer-facing applications. You will:
Work independently but also at the direction of a Lead UX Architect
Work collaboratively with Business Analysts (BA), customer, development and consultant teams to drive out designs that align to project/business objectives and are technically feasible
Work with project team members to create compelling user experience in Figma following an Experience Led Design (ELD) process
Document designs clearly to support a smooth design-to-dev handoff and collaborate closely with developers to ensure design accuracy.
Craft and specify the user interface style and theme to production quality aligned to our customers brand working with design tokens
Provide expert guidance to our customers on UX best practices and lead them towards user-centered solutions, communicate and advocate for our internal design standards and process to our customers to help them align with our practices
Work in an Agile environment following the Scrum methodology

Experience with design and collaborative tools like Figma, Miro, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace etc.
Experience or knowledge of working with design systems and design tokens
Fluent business English required; additional languages (e.g., Chinese, Japanese) are a plus
Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills
Keen attention to detail is required
Have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
Demonstrated ability to embrace emerging technologies—especially AI—and apply data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Insurance domain knowledge and/or experience in financial services
Strong relationship management skills
Experience with any insurance carriers or technology implementation partners
Knowledge or training in Design Thinking principles
Bachelors or masters program in: Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, User Experience Design, Design Thinking, or a field related to user experience design with an accredited college/university is preferred.
1-3 years of user experience design, interaction design, and user interface design in enterprise and complex business processes
