As a UX Designer 2, you will be crafting exceptional experiences for community members and our customers across desktop and mobile platforms. You leverage AI-powered tools and modern design practices to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and user-centered design principles.

In this role, you partner closely with your product-area UX lead, product managers, engineers and stakeholders with a strong team spirit. You have the confidence to design scalable solutions for projects of different sizes, using AI to iterate rapidly while relying on human-centered insights and best practices.

Main Activities

  • Delivering world-class product design in a collaborative team environment, leveraging AI tools to accelerate iteration cycles while maintaining design quality and user-centered outcomes
  • Solving the right problems clearly, early and with a lean approach through partnering with Product Managers, Engineers and UX Researchers to define insights-driven user problems, requirements, constraints and scope
  • Planning and conducting iterative, AI-accelerated design activities that solve problems early and clearly - e.g., UX audit, heuristic review, design critique, journey mapping, concepting/ideation, rapid prototyping using AI-assisted tools, user scenarios, user flows, information architecture design, wireframes and rapid low-fi prototypes, mid and high-fi prototypes, visual design, copywriting, illustration, interactive UI designs, animation, video and audio design, screen recordings, establishing and monitoring UX metrics
  • Using AI tools strategically across the design process to: generate design variations and explore concepts rapidly, synthesize research findings and identify patterns, create documentation and specifications efficiently, and accelerate delivery without compromising quality or user-centered principles
  • Partnering with UX research to plan and conduct studies to validate designs, build empathy with our users, and contribute to our organization's user intelligence - e.g., generative, descriptive and validation studies, research planning, recruiting, moderating, synthesizing (leveraging AI for pattern recognition and analysis), communicating insights and findings
  • Ensuring cross-team shared understanding through facilitating collaborative design activities as appropriate, with diverse groups - e.g., presenting research insights, design planning sessions, concepting/ideation workshops, design critique sessions, using AI-generated artifacts to accelerate communication
  • Contributing to a cohesive and evolving product experience through aligning with UX direction set by your lead, identifying opportunities in every project for cross-product consolidation and consistency, actively using and contributing to our design system with modern component-based practices
  • Generating trust and synchronization through no-surprises communication upstream and downstream, experimenting with facilitation, storytelling and presenting, using AI tools to create clear documentation and specifications that keep stakeholders aligned
  • Contributing to improving UX practices in collaboration with your lead, particularly around effective AI integration, new collaboration patterns, and maintaining quality at increased velocity
  • Building up your insights-driven UX toolkit through experimenting with and refining AI-powered and traditional design activities/methods that increase UX outcomes and deepen your design thinking
  • Working with Customers, Users, Software Engineers, Product and QA Personnel and other parts of the business to review requirements and proposed solutions and provide input into these processes (which may include, but are not limited to, ideation, algorithms, processes and feature design) which may produce intellectual property that belongs to Pushpay
  • Conducting research, analyzing product and user trends, deriving insights and creating user journeys, interactions and UI designs (which may include, but are not limited to, processes, designs, and automation in the form of code, documentation or scripts) that is then incorporated into Pushpay products, or the process of building products, which may produce intellectual property that belongs to Pushpay

  • UX and design domain knowledge is important, with understanding of how AI tools enhance rather than replace core design thinking
  • Passion for all things UX related, especially around connecting people through technology
  • Demonstrable knowledge of best practices in interaction design (i.e., user scenarios, user flows and rapid prototypes) and a good understanding of user behavior

  • Find ways to champion and facilitate frequent evaluation of design ideas with users at various stages of the product design life cycle
