Join our team as Utility Manager !
As a Utility Manager within our Amenity services team you will be responsible for overseeing the stewarding operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen and dining areas. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage a team, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the culinary and service teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
Job responsibilities
  • Lead recruitment, training, and supervision of stewarding staff to ensure high performance.
  • Develop and implement task schedules for optimal operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Oversee comprehensive cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate dishwashing and cleaning processes in collaboration with the culinary team.
  • Manage and track inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure availability.
  • Monitor usage and reorder supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Implement strategies to minimize waste and enhance cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct routine inspections to verify compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • Facilitate effective communication with teams to resolve issues and enhance operations.

Required qualifications , capabilities and skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to walk around and stand for extended periods.

Preferred qualifications , capabilities and skills:
  • Proven experience in a stewarding or similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment
