Purpose of the role
To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to design, development, and implementation of microservices-based applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel.

Assist in the integration of various messaging systems, including WebSphere MQ, Solace, and Kafka.

Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and database operations in Oracle.
-
Ensure code quality and security using SonarQube, Prisma scan and other tools.
-
Support the CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment processes.
-
Develop code with a focus on performance optimization and resolve any performance issues.
-
Collaborate with globally distributed teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the junior developers.

Act as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our DevOps practices.
Required Skills and Experience:

Java, Spring Boot, Apache Camel: Strong expertise with 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel. Deep understanding of microservices architecture and object-oriented design concepts.

Version Control & CI/CD: Proficiency in GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and JIRA. Experience in managing source code repositories and CI/CD pipelines.

Database Management: Hands-on experience with Oracle databases. Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.

Messaging Systems: Experience with WebSphere MQ, Solace Messaging, and Kafka.

Workflow Management: Familiarity with Camunda workflow

Cloud Platforms: Experience with OpenShift V4

Performance Optimization: Ability to develop high-performance code and resolve performance issues.

DevOps & Agile: Exposure to DevOps practices and experience working in an Agile environment with globally distributed teams.

Investment Banking: Previous experience in the investment banking sector is a plus.
This role is based in Pune.
