Black Canyon Consulting (BCC) is a premium provider for life sciences, project and program management. We are searching for a Change Management Specialist to support our work with a renowned federal agency where you will help drive modernization in one of the world’s largest data repositories.
We are looking for full-time candidates currently residing in the United States. This position is available for remote work.
Position Description
We are seeking a UX Researcher to lead user research efforts and provide actionable insights for our government clients success of the IT/Product Modernization for one of the largest public repositories of high throughput data sequencing. You will conduct user interviews, usability testing, and analyze data to inform design decisions and enhance user experiences. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a thorough understanding of user-centered design principles are essential.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Identify and document key stakeholders and user personas for our highly visible data sequencing initiative
- Identify and document user personas
- Develop outreach strategy for new data model
- Conduct user research through user interviews, surveys, and focus groups to gather insights on user needs and preferences
- Compile findings into actionable requirements for the updated data model development
- Prioritize requirements based on business goals and user needs
- Measure impact of the initiative on user’s sentiment
- Create help documents and other web content
- Create communication assets for stakeholder engagement and marketing
- Document product use cases
- Document product specifications and related data structures
- Prepare product wireframes and prototypes for engagement with stakeholders
- Plan and implement workshops and codeathons to refine data model components and related products
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field; advanced degree desired
- 3+ years of UX Research experience
- 3+ years conducting interviews and gathering data
- 3+ years of Figma, Adobe XD, or similar experience
- Must have strong oral and verbal communication skills

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and the targeted range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000.
