The User Experience Product Designer creates excellent end-user interactions and defines the overall user experience for those users navigating our data-dense highly transactional desktop, mobile and web-based applications. The User Experience Product Designer seeks to improve the user experience by suggesting interactions that are simple, useful, scalable, accessible, and visually compelling. They collaborate with teams and individuals across a wide variety of departments as needed: Product, Development, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and external clients.
Responsibilities:
- Takes initiative in gathering requirements and translating them into user interface screen designs.
- Creates annotated wireframe screen schematics to define logic and flow of user interfaces. Annotates the wireframes within user interface specification documentation.
- Collaborates on defining usability testing plans and execution of usability testing.
- Works effectively with various stakeholders, including target users, to bring together a product design.
- Interviews target users to define personas and generate artifacts that document user journeys.
- Facilitates workshops with product managers, content team members and target users and technology teams to define problems to be solved and define optimal solutions to the problems with user interface solutions that are implementable.
- Manages and prioritizes multiple project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in user interface design team’s effort to maintain and evolve design systems and guidelines.
- Any other reasonable activity required by management.
Required Skills:
- Ability to create wireframe screen schematics using wireframing tools such as Balsamiq and adept at other industry standard design tools like Figma.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, etc.).
- Enthusiasm for design work in a software-as-a-service company.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's/master's degree in design and technology, user experience design, human factors engineering, psychology/cognitive science or related field
- Experience with financial services sector highly desirable
- 5+ years of experience
Salary Range
$137,770.00 - $178,250.00This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), PTO, parental leave, and medical leave, STD/LTD insurance benefits.
