USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER
The ZS Digital Experience and Design (DXD) practice was created to champion design in the creation of compelling, innovative and outcomes-focused experiences, services and products. Our clients look to us to design and create engaging experiences and solutions for a broad range of B2B or B2C customers, with a focus on healthcare providers, physicians, and patients. We use our deep understanding of people to design meaningful interactions and desirable outcomes for customers, while delivering better performance for our clients.
Role Overview:
As a User Experience Designer, you will design intuitive, data-rich, and AI-powered digital experiences for healthcare and life sciences organizations. You'll work across analytics platforms, enterprise workflow tools, and generative-AI driven product experiences. You'll support the creation of process flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UIs, and design system components while using AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, concept generation, prototyping, and visual exploration.
This role is ideal for designers who thrive in fast-paced environments, are comfortable with ambiguity, and want to apply design thinking and product design methodologies to build next-generation intelligent solutions.
Your skills will help us to provide UX design and strategy services to our clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
What You'll Do:
- Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for AI-powered applications, enterprise workflows, dashboards, and insight-driven products.
- Develop and maintain design systems tailored for GenAI-enabled experiences (e.g., conversational UI, recommendations, agentic task flows).
- Use AI fluently across the design process - from early research synthesis and concept exploration through to design-to-code workflows that bridge design and front-end delivery.
- Translate competitor research, user insights, and business needs into actionable design concepts that scale.
- Contribute to rapid design sprints focused on validating AI-driven experiences and working models.
- Work within client-facing teams to solve design problems with creative thinking and design reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, data science, engineering) to ensure feasibility of GenAI interactions and UI patterns.
- Ensure all designs meet usability, accessibility, and enterprise solution standards.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree required, with a demonstrated record of academic success. Preferred fields include Human-Computer Interaction or Human Factors; design disciplines such as design strategy, service design or cognitive science are also strongly considered.
- 1-3+ years in UX design, ideally with exposure to analytics tools, enterprise products, or intelligent/AI-enabled experiences
- Strong foundation in design thinking, interaction design, and modern product design methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience taking products from 0 to 1 - translating ambiguous business and user needs into well-defined problems, and driving the design through to launched solutions.
- Foundational understanding of enterprise software and data ecosystems, including CRM, Business Intelligence, CMS, and collaboration technologies, and how these systems inform and constrain product design decisions.
- Experience designing for AI-infused interfaces - chat-based workflows, recommendations, predictive insights, or adaptive UI
- Actively uses AI as a core part of their design process - across research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, and visual exploration - and stays current as the tooling evolves.
- A strong plus: demonstrated experience in design engineering (design-to-code, AI dev tools, front-end collaboration) or hybrid design/PM work - shaping roadmaps, owning product decisions, and connecting user needs to business strategy.
- General consulting skills such as the ability synthesize feedback, respond to questions, communicate well and articulate design decisions.
- A curious, confident self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments - able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and build strong relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with healthcare, life sciences or other regulated industries is a plus.
A strong portfolio is required. Please demonstrate your full design process from problem definition through to solution - final screens alone are not sufficient.
How you'll grow:
- Cross-functional skills development & custom learning pathways
- Milestone training programs aligned to career progression opportunities
- Internal mobility paths that empower growth via s-curves, individual contribution and role expansions
