As a User Experience Designer II here at Honeywell, you will shape user experiences, collaborate with teams, and lead design processes to create intuitive, user-centric solutions that meet business objectives. You will report directly to our Director User Exp Design and you’ll work out of our Mexico City location on a Hybrid work schedule.
We are looking for a strong team member who can collaborate across multiple ongoing programs to deliver cohesive, end-to-end user experience across all touchpoints for the Productivity Business. This role requires applying well-established human-centered design principles to ensure Honeywell products and applications are highly useful, usable, and desirable in the marketplace.
You will be part of the HUE (Honeywell User Experience) team, which is responsible for delivering differentiated designs that enable our users to perform their day-to-day activities as efficiently and effectively as possible. Our multidisciplinary team includes User Researchers who deeply understand end-user needs, Industrial Designers who create physical products, and Digital Designers (UI/UX) who craft digital experiences.
In this role, you will also collaborate closely with Offering Managers and Developers to align on requirements and deliverables, supporting interface design across web, desktop, mobile, and embedded platforms.
Understand requirements by asking insightful and clarifying questions
- Translate requirements into clear user flows and wireframes
- Create visual designs aligned with Honeywell’s design system
- Build reusable components to grow the design system (auto layout, variants)
- Develop both low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes with use of variables
- Support Senior Designers in big projects as a team player
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including Marketing and Engineering
- Communicate status, progress, and deliverables effectively and proactively
- Act as a continuous advocate for the user throughout the design process
- Contribute to product development using a human-centered design approach
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field
- 5+ years of industry experience in UI design (portfolio required)
- Proficiency with the Figma suite
- Experience defining product experiences, including personas and user journeys
- Strong experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual design concepts
- Experience designing complex mobile and web applications, including dashboards and data-intensive solutions
- A curious, adaptable, and self-driven mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (both written and verbal)
