This cross functional role is crucial in helping craft Niantic's overall growth, marketing strategies, and product launches. This role is based in Tokyo Japan. English and Japanese fluency is required for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Craft and implement comprehensive user acquisition strategies across all marketing channels in collaboration with the broader marketing and product team.
  • Reach performance marketing KPI’s through optimized budget allocation.
  • Work with IP holders and help advise on their overall marketing strategies.
  • Resolve any data integrity issues that may arise while running performance marketing campaigns with MMP, internal data science or marketing channel.
  • Work with internal/external creative agencies to build out performance marketing creative for all needed channels.
  • Manage external media and creative agencies.
  • Collaborate with our data science team to enhance UA reporting and proactively adapt to evolving marketing metrics.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, measure campaign performance, and optimize strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Work with product marketing, marketing, and analytics teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Communicate weekly with leadership to present insights, recommendations, and campaign results, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Lead meetings with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to align on business needs.
  • Required in-office 3 days a week.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, statistics, finance or a related field and passionate about analyzing products, customer insights, and market data.
  • 6+ years experience in a mobile media buying position on major advertising platforms such as paid social, ad networks and DSPs.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to translate data to meaningful business recommendations that have material business impact.
  • Experience working with executive leadership on a frequent basis and helping drive overall marketing strategy.
  • Experience managing large monthly budgets across multiple channels. Ideally monthly budgets bigger than $500k.
  • Past experience directly managing/hiring contractors and or third party agencies.
  • Proposed changes to marketing tech stack to account for changing mobile marketing landscape.
  • Proven track record of improving creative performance through continuous A/B testing across multiple platforms and channels.
  • Blend of creativity and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Experience with various market research data services e.g. App Annie, Sensor Tower.
  • Experience working with MMP (Singular, Adjust and Appsflyer) and knowledge around Apple SKAN protocols is a bonus.
