The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Operations and Integration Support Engineering Manager (Level L) to support our USAF Fighter and Trainers team in Hazelwood, Mo.
BGS Engineering is looking to hire a manager that will lead a team of product support engineers. This role will be supporting the analysis, design, development and deployment of USAF Maintenance Engineering (MxE) deliverables and initiatives.
This position is specifically responsible with assisting with setting organizational strategies, ensuring adherence to technical and product quality standards, and integrating internally across all Product Support elements (Pubs, PSA, Provisioning, Retrofit, SE, etc)) and externally with business partners, suppliers and customers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in product lifecycle support, program/project management and change management.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages, develops, and motivates employees performing multi-disciplinary product support roles.
- Leads planning and integration activities for MxE programs supporting BDS & BGS USAF Fighter and Trainer Solutions.
- Applies knowledge of product support disciplines and program management best practices.
- Develops business objectives; develops internal policies, charters, and plans.
- Integrates technical design practices, first pass quality initiatives and content management/sustainment strategies.
- Develops and maintains partnerships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Provides technical product support to supplier management for oversight and coordination of supplier activities.
- Coordinates and directs use enterprise software for workflow management, technical design/development, quality control and delivery of training products.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days per week.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience mentoring, coaching and guiding teams.
- 5+ years of experience with program and project management.
- 3+ years of experience with aerospace products or product support.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 3+ years’ experience leading a multi-disciplined engineering team.
- 3+ years’ experience with program management best practices including managing cost and schedule.
- 3+ years’ experience or strong familiarity with Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities and earned value management.
