The Systems and Infrastructure Engineer III, Information Security, plays a critical role in designing, maintaining, and securing scalable infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements. This position involves developing modular system architectures, automating workflows, and ensuring compliance with security standards and risk management frameworks. The role supports capacity planning, infrastructure performance, and disaster recovery strategies while adhering to coding and configuration management best practices. Collaboration with stakeholders to analyze requirements and implement robust security controls is essential to safeguard enterprise systems and promote operational excellence within a dynamic technology environment.
About the team:
The team designs, implements, and maintains secure, scalable cryptographic infrastructure aligned with enterprise objectives. It leads modernization efforts for Public Key Infrastructure, Hardware Security Modules, and certificate lifecycle management across on-premises and cloud platforms. Collaborating with security, infrastructure, networking, and application teams, the group emphasizes automation, operational efficiency, and adherence to security standards. Members develop innovative solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of cryptographic services while mentoring peers and driving continuous improvements in infrastructure security and automation practices.
What you'll do:

• Design and develop scalable, secure infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and security standards.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and maintenance using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Conduct risk and compliance assessments to support system security plans and disaster recovery strategies.
• Perform routine infrastructure maintenance, including backups, patch management, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate on requirement analysis, user story creation, and capacity planning to ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate complexity issues, providing feasible solutions and escalation when necessary.
• Maintain documentation of system designs, configurations, and code revisions adhering to coding and security guidelines.

What you'll bring:

• Proven expertise in Public Key Infrastructure, Hardware Security Modules, and Enterprise Java Bean Certificate Authority (EJBCA) management.
• Strong knowledge of encryption technologies, security controls, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages to streamline infrastructure workflows.
• Ability to design scalable, modular, and secure distributed systems aligned with business requirements.
• Familiarity with infrastructure maintenance, disaster recovery planning, and capacity management.
• Skilled in coding standards, secure software development lifecycle, and configuration management processes.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent security certification preferred.

Herndon, Virginia US-10710: The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
