About the team:
The ISMP Spec Engineering team at Walmart Global Tech’s Catalog organization develops the platform powering product taxonomy, specifications, and catalog data management across global marketplaces. The team manages the full engineering lifecycle, including platform architecture, backend services, APIs, UI, and developer tooling, focusing on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. Collaborating with Product Management, Catalog Operations, and Data Science, the team accelerates product onboarding and enhances catalog quality. They build cloud-native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Kubernetes, emphasizing scalable APIs, automation, and AI-driven productivity to deliver impactful solutions at Walmart’s scale.
What you'll do:
  • Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.
  • Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
  • Conduct system design reviews to validate feasibility and alignment with architectural standards.
  • Build AI-driven applications integrating ML components and automation features.
  • Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements.

  • Continuously improve code quality through review processes and stay current with industry trends.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
