About the team:
The Last Mile Delivery team combines customer insights with advanced technology to develop a strategic product roadmap that enhances customer satisfaction. Focused on Walmart’s Everyday Low Prices philosophy, the team drives cost-effective solutions by optimizing processes and verticals. They build reusable technologies to support customer acquisition, onboarding, and merchant empowerment, ensuring seamless experiences across in-store, mobile, and web channels. The team also refines tariffs and assortment strategies to maintain affordability while delivering tailored experiences. Their work is essential in advancing Walmart’s commitment to operational excellence and innovative product delivery.
What you'll do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-level design and technical solutions for projects.
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-quality software components and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production and business issues through root cause analysis and effective action plans.
• Lead small engineering groups by providing guidance, documentation, and mentorship to ensure timely delivery.
• Implement automation scripts and telemetry features to support continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Analyze requirements, create test cases, and perform defect management to ensure software reliability.
• Monitor application performance and recommend improvements aligned with business objectives.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in software design, development, and delivery using object-oriented programming and iterative development methodologies.
• Strong technical acumen with expertise in API design, platform development, and component services.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues through root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
• Proficiency in coding standards, multiple programming languages, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
• Experience leading small engineering teams, providing guidance, mentoring, and ensuring timely project delivery.
• Skilled in test case creation, defect management, and application performance monitoring.
• Commitment to maintaining high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
