About the team:
Working at the intersection of customer experience and platform engineering, the team partners closely with Product, Design, Payments, and Backend Platform teams to reduce friction, improve conversion, and maintain high reliability across Walmart’s mobile apps. As part of the Pre‑Purchase org, the Checkout team plays a key role in shaping how customers experience Walmart before they place an order, supporting innovation while meeting the performance demands of the world’s largest retailer.
What you'll do:
- Build and scale high-performance iOS checkout experiences for Walmart
- Lead medium-to-large iOS engineering initiatives using Swift and SwiftUI
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, Payments, and Platform teams
- Own production stability through root-cause analysis and issue prevention
- Integrate iOS with distributed backend systems via REST and GraphQL
- Lead design and code reviews; mentor engineers
- Deliver reliable features for peak retail events
- Use data and experimentation to reduce friction and improve conversion

What you'll bring:
- 5+ years building iOS apps with Swift and SwiftUI
