The New Store Design & Development team transforms Walmart’s growth strategy into action by leading new store and expansion projects from early development through construction readiness. This team collaborates with Real Estate, Construction, Store Planning, Utilities, Legal, Finance, consultants, and contractors to address complex development challenges, mitigate risks early, and maintain project momentum. What you'll do:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of land development projects, including site due diligence, capital approval, permitting, construction, and grand opening.
- Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets aligned with business objectives and market timelines.
- Lead entitlement and permitting strategies, coordinating with architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities to secure approvals.
- Manage external partners and negotiate development agreements and contracts in collaboration with legal and real estate teams.
