The Senior Director, Technical Program Management, will lead the business transformation of Walmart’s future assortment and space experience. This leader will translate merchandising strategy into executable capabilities, orchestrate complex programs across Merchandising, Product, Technology, and Data Science, and connect work across organizational boundaries. The role requires a strong understanding of merchandising, exceptional cross-functional leadership, and the ability to turn ambiguity into clear direction. Our team is reimagining how Walmart merchants make assortment and space decisions. We are building a simpler, connected, AI-powered merchandising experience that combines merchant judgment with the power of data and technology. Our work spans strategy, merchant intent, AI-assisted assortment design, conversational merchandising, and modular automation, while connecting with enterprise capabilities such as item setup, supplier collaboration, pricing, and inventory execution. Our ambition is simple: eliminate disconnected and manual work so merchants can spend more time making the strategic decisions that differentiate Walmart and create value for our customers.
What you'll do:
- Shape and lead the transformation of Walmart’s future assortment and space experience, turning strategic vision into executable priorities and capabilities.
- Orchestrate complex, cross-functional work across Merchandising, Product, Technology, and Data Science from strategy through delivery and adoption.
- Translate merchant needs and business problems into clear requirements, priorities, and scalable solutions.
- Connect capabilities across organizational boundaries to create a seamless end-to-end merchant experience and eliminate manual handoffs.
- Establish strong operating rhythms, measures of success, and governance to accelerate decisions, manage dependencies, and drive accountability.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team while building strong partnerships across the enterprise.

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $320,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
