Walmart is a leading organization committed to leveraging data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and innovation. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Manager of Data Literacy and Culture to join our team and champion data-driven transformation across the organization.
The Enterprise Data Strategy team is at the forefront of shaping our organization's data-driven future. The Senior Manager of Data Literacy and Culture will be responsible for implementing strategies to enhance data literacy and foster a data-driven culture. This role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that associates at all levels have the knowledge, skills, and mindset to effectively use data in their daily work.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement Data Literacy Roadmap. Deliver and report against roadmap for data literacy initiatives.

Execute Data Literacy Programs. Implement comprehensive persona-based data literacy programs. Create training materials, workshops, and e-learning modules to enhance data skills across the organization.

Promote a Data-Driven Culture. Advocate for the use of data in decision-making processes at all levels of the organization. Foster a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, and data-driven experimentation.

Collaborate with Stakeholders. Partner with business unit leads, People, Global Tech, Digital Governance leaders, to identify data literacy needs and develop targeted initiatives. Work with the analytics teams to ensure data tools and resources are user-friendly and accessible.

Measure and Monitor Progress. Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of data literacy programs and cultural initiatives. Regularly report on progress and adjust strategies based on feedback and outcomes.

Champion Data Excellence. Promote awareness of data policies & standards, data privacy, and ethical considerations in data usage. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Education, Business, or a related field

3-5 years of experience in data-related roles, with a focus on data literacy, training, or data governance

Strong understanding of adult education theory with the ability to translate technical content into education that can be understood and applied by target audience.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

Proven ability to influence and drive cultural change within an organization.

Experience in designing and delivering training programs and workshops.

Passion for fostering a data-driven culture and promoting continuous learning.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
