What you'll do...Role summary:
Walmart is building the future Commerce. We are seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships & Business Development to build and drive ecosystem partnerships across AI, Commerce and Growth platforms and tech. From big tech to hyper-scalers and foundation model providers, you will identify and negotiate the foundational deals that integrate cutting-edge technology into the lives of millions. Operating at the high-stakes intersection of product, engineering, and commercial strategy, you will be the bridge between 'what’s next' and 'what’s possible at scale' - sourcing opportunities, structuring complex deals, and driving execution across the enterprise.

Our team leads strategic partnerships and business development at Walmart, collaborating closely with Business, Product, and Technology groups. We focus on shaping strategy, accelerating innovation, and delivering measurable value to customers and associates. By leveraging expertise in program and financial management, stakeholder engagement, and business operations, we drive impactful initiatives and foster strong partner relationships. The team is committed to aligning technology and business goals to support sustainable growth and operational excellence across the organization.
What you'll do:
Partnerships Strategy and Business Development:

• Define, lead Walmart's top tech partnerships roadmap aligned to product and enterprise strategy.
• Launch and scale new tech partnerships that enable AI and other experiences.
• Develop exec-ready ready recommendations. Influence senior leadership on strategic direction.
• Build, manage strategic partners portfolio that accelerates Walmart's top priorities.

Deal Structuring and Negotiation:

• Lead end-to-end deal execution from exploratory discussions through term sheets and full contract negotiation and execution.
• Structure complex agreements involving IP, data rights, co-development, platform integrations and commercialization models. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

• Lead highly matrixed teams across Engineering, Product, Advertising, Payments, Marketing, Business.
• Remove execution barriers and drive accountability across internal and external partners.

What you'll bring:

• 12+ years of experience in business development, partnerships. 
• 8+ years of experience negotiating and managing the implementation and execution of term sheets and signed agreements with partners.
• Proven track record sourcing, structuring, and scaling enterprise-level partnerships that drive measurable business impact.
• Experience influencing and presenting to executive leadership, including VP, SVP, C-suite, and external executive stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, manage complex partner relationships, and drive adoption of new products and features.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

3 years’ supervisory experience.
