Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

1. Overall Operational Management of U.S. Plant

Oversee and manage Manufacturing, SMT, Assembly, Testing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Customer Satisfaction to achieve plant operational goals.

2. Drive Capacity Expansion and Mass Production Readiness

Lead Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing teams in planning and executing new factory setup, production workflows, line layout, manufacturing environments, capacity expansion, and production ramp-up to ensure smooth product introduction into mass production.

3. Drive Operational Excellence and Performance Improvement

Lead Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives to enhance production efficiency, quality, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness.

4. Supply Chain, Materials, and Capacity Allocation Management

Coordinate supply chain, materials, inventory, production scheduling, and capacity allocation to effectively support NPI (New Product Introduction), ramp-up, and mass production shipping demands.

5. Primary Liaison Between Plant and Customers

Serve as the key point of contact to meet customer requirements regarding production, quality, lead times, and shipping; manage customer visits, audits, escalation of critical issues, and resolution of production problems.

6. Cross-departmental Resource Integration and Critical Issue Management

Manage top-down and bottom-up communication related to operations; coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Materials, and Sales teams to drive problem-solving and decision execution.

7. Drive Cross-site Collaboration and Global Manufacturing Consistency

Collaborate with Asia and other global facilities to support cross-site transfer, factory replication, capacity allocation, and 1–3 year manufacturing strategic planning.

8. Lead and Build a Culture of Integrity and Accountability in the U.S.

Cultivate local talent with a focus on integrity and accountability; strengthen organizational governance, KPI management, and execution to build a sustainable U.S. manufacturing organization.

Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • 10+ years of factory management experience (e.g., Plant Manager, Operations Lead, or Manufacturing Director), with a track record in cross-site or global manufacturing management.
  • Experience in Electronics Manufacturing (EMS), the electronics industry, or high-volume production environments is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in overseas assignments and leading multicultural teams.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandatory); must be able to communicate directly and effectively with global senior executives.

Key Preferred Qualifications (Strong Pluses):

  • Experience in Greenfield factory setup, plant expansion, or large-scale production ramp-up, including but not limited to: facility planning, production line introduction, workforce scaling, and system implementation (e.g., MES/ERP).
  • Experience operating within a multinational matrix organization.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. manufacturing environment and relevant regulations.

Additional Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency in Spanish.
  • Operational experience in North America or Latin America (e.g., familiarity with USMCA regulations).
  • Experience managing accounts for high-end customers in sectors such as Automotive, Networking, or Industrial products.

Supplemental Technical Expertise:

  • Proven success in NPI (New Product Introduction) and product transfer; deep familiarity with processes and KPIs for IQC, SMT, ATP (Assembly, Test, and Pack), packaging, and logistics.
  • Expertise in Quality Management Systems (e.g., PPAP, APQP, FMEA) and Lean/Six Sigma practices.
