What is the Opportunity?
RBC’s Office of the US Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for the oversight of all technology supporting the firm’s Combined US Operations (CUSO). The CUSO includes Capital Markets, Wealth Management, City National Bank, RBC Bank (US), and Global Asset Management within the US. Technology groups supporting the CUSO business lines, both directly and indirectly are included in the purview of the Office of the US CIO.
What will you do?
- Work with business line partners to collect, analyze, and report on Headcount data across the US IT organization.
- Analyze data to develop insights and observations on optimization opportunities across US IT Staff and Roles.
- Collaborate with HR, finance, senior leaders, real estate, and business management teams to align US IT location strategy with business goals.
- Work with Global Location and Workforce team to ensure strategy alignment with broader ambitions within global the global Technology and Operations department.
- Prepare reports and presentations to support proposals.
- Develop KPIs to measure progress towards defined location strategy goals.
- Work with technology business management teams to track and report on progress against KPIs.
- Research latest industry trends to ensure US IT Location strategy is best in class and aligns with industry standards.
- Manage real estate footprint and space constraints within Jersey City location, coordinating with building personnel on move activities and desk assignments when required.
What do you need to succeed?
Requirements
- 5+ years of Talent/Resource Management, Staffing Operations, Business Management, or related experience.
- Proven experience in location strategy development and execution, preferably technology related.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
- Project Management Skills to provide overall oversight, direction, and governance to steer strategic deliverables to a successful outcome and ensure initiative remains on track.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to program and executive leadership.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A resourceful, proactive and strategic approach to work.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, and rapidly respond to urgent deadline.
- Commitment to excellence and ability to meet high standards

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $110K-$190K depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
