What We Do
AQT is working on general-purpose quantum information processors that will support a broad range of applications in various industries. We use a scalable trapped-ion approach combining unmatched physical performance, extraordinary qubit control, and demonstrated optical networkability.
Alpine Quantum Technologies GmbH (AQT) was founded in 2018 by Prof. Rainer Blatt, Dr. Thomas Monz, and Prof. Peter Zoller. It is the goal of AQT to commercialize an Austrian quantum computer. AQT is supported by the Federation of Austrian Industries Tyrol, the FFG Austrian Research Promotion Agency, and the University of Innsbruck.
