The EMS Coordinator serves as the primary bridge between the hospital administration, service line leadership, the strategy team, and local EMS agencies. This role focuses heavily on clinical quality assurance through data utilization, program development, and relationship management. The coordinator leverages EMS Electronic Patient Care Reports (ePCR) and hospital Electronic Health Records (EHR) to track clinical outcomes, improve continuity of care, and foster robust community and regional partnerships.
QualificationsEDUCATION:
- Minimum: High School graduate or equivalent
- Preferred: Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience in an Emergency Department or pre-hospital EMS environment.
- Experience in quality improvement, data metrics, or liaison roles preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or Paramedic certification required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with hospital EHR (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and EMS ePCR platforms (e.g., ImageTrend, ESO).
- Ability to understand healthcare market dynamics and collaborate effectively with executive strategy teams.
- Proficient on computer and solid organizational and prioritization skills.

Skills Required
