Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring that existing internal controls and risk management practices in the group are strictly adhered to.
- Responsible for keeping the Group Head abreast of all occurrences in the Group through a quality and robust Quality Assurance report.
- Coordinate Group meetings and training.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Ensure GL reconciliation checks are accurate and escalate exceptions.
- Supervise periodic spot checks and process audits across key E-business Operations functions.
- Mentor and train QA team members on process knowledge, audit expectations, and documentation standards.
- Assign and monitor review tasks based on team capacity and priorities.
- Monitor adherence to regulatory and internal SLA timelines (e.g., CBN SLA for reversals).
- Support internal/external audit reviews and respond to QA-related queries.
Skills/Competencies
- Ability to lead a team and make sound judgments based on evidence and QA findings.
- Familiarity with core banking systems (e.g., Flexcube), switching platforms, and digital banking interfaces.
- Understanding of governing principles and rules of E-business operations.
- Ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, or deviations in data or processes.
- Use of MS office Excel, SQL, or BI tools to investigate and report findings to stakeholders effectively.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Working closely with operations, compliance, IT, or other relevant teams.
- Handling discrepancies or quality concerns tactfully.
Qualification
- First degree in any Discipline with a minimum of Second-Class honors.
- Relevant Masters’ degree will be an advantage
Professional Membership
A recognized professional certification will be an added advantage
