PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform ultrasound and other procedures on patients as directed by physicians and advanced practitioners
  • Routine and complex studies
  • Assist physicians in a variety of imaging procedures
  • Perform on all age groups from infants to adult/geriatric
  • Organize processed images, measurements, calculations, and other data for physicians to interpret
  • Maintain equipment and order/stock all ultrasound supplies
  • Maintain department records, reports, and files
  • Maintain continuing education requirements

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Radiology Technology from an accredited institution; Registered ARRT by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • One year experience in sonography applications

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Registry or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS preferred
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT)

Skills Required
