Position Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasound equipment to obtain and document accurate clinical images and data. This role supports patient care by ensuring timely, high-quality imaging, clear communication of results to providers, and compliance with all regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols

  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear, compassionate communication

  • Identify patient needs and follow age-specific care guidelines

  • Accurately document exam results and maintain required records and logs

  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and clinic policies

  • Monitor patient condition during exams and notify a nurse or provider of any changes

  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating ultrasound appointments

  • Participate in quality assurance activities

  • Provide guidance and support to assigned staff; assist with training and supervision of per diem personnel as needed

QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program

  • Current registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)

  • Certificate of completion from an approved Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program

  • Minimum of two years of experience as an OB/GYN Ultrasound Technologist

 

Skills Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Certificate of completion from an approved Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an OB/GYN Ultrasound Technologist
