The Ultrasound Technologist works directly with patients and physicians, and operates equipment that uses high-frequency sound waves to take images and scans of the body's internal organs. During the ultrasound, the ultrasound technologist may take measurements, calculate values, and interpret images.
QualificationsMust be a graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Program and have an ARMDS or ARRT certification. Two years experience and radiology and CT cross-training preferred.
