Description
Position Summary:
The UI/UX Developer designs and implements the user interfaces for the platform. You will translate research and designs into accessible, high-quality front-end experiences, partnering with designers and developers to meet federal usability and Section 508 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement responsive, accessible front-end interfaces for the platform
- Translate wireframes and designs into production UI components
- Ensure Section 508 / WCAG accessibility compliance
- Build and maintain a reusable component/design system
- Collaborate with HCD, product, and back-end developers
- Conduct and support usability testing and iteration
- Leverage AI-assisted tooling for UI development

Requirements
Non-Technical Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be willing to work a HYRBID Schedule (2 Days) in Reston, VA & client locations in the Washington D.C. area as required.
- Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Must be able to prioritize and self-start.
- Must be adaptable/flexible as priorities shift.
- Must be enthusiastic and have passion for learning and constant improvement.
- Must be open to collaboration, feedback and client asks.
- Must enjoy working with a vibrant team of outgoing personalities.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of front-end / UI development experience
- Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks (React or equivalent) and CSS
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG)
- Experience collaborating with designers and back-end teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Federal / USWDS experience
- Design-system experience
- Familiarity with AI-assisted front-end tooling
Skills Required
- U.S. citizenship
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule two days per week in Reston, Virginia and client locations in the Washington, D.C. area
- Ability to pass a seven-year background check
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government clearance
