About the Role
Magna Powertrain is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to drive the development of high-impact enterprise applications within our manufacturing and engineering operations in Ramos Arizpe.
In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize frontend solutions for industrial and corporate environments, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability in production systems.
Beyond development, this position requires a strong UX mindset—capable of understanding business processes, optimizing user flows, and delivering intuitive, user-centered digital experiences that support operational efficiency and decision-making
This is a high-impact role with direct collaboration across cross-functional teams, supporting key digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications for enterprise and industrial environments.
• Translate business and operational requirements into efficient, user-friendly interfaces.
• Ensure high performance of applications through optimization of rendering, state management, and data loading.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and ensure robust data communication.
• Work with large datasets and integrate information from APIs, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and industrial platforms.
• Participate in defining and improving user flows, focusing on usability and process efficiency.
• Apply UX/UI principles to ensure intuitive and consistent user experiences across applications.
• Maintain alignment with design systems, reusable components, and visual consistency standards.
• Ensure reliability through proper error handling, logging, and monitoring.
• Support production environments by troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements without impacting operations.
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards related to security, governance, and code quality.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in frontend development within enterprise, industrial, or corporate environments.
• Proven experience delivering production-ready applications (not only PoCs or academic projects).
• Strong experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
• Advanced English proficiency (required
Technical Skills
• Advanced expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, and state management.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with SQL databases and data querying (SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with version control tools (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps)
UX/UI Expectations (Critical for this Role)
• Ability to interpret and translate designs (Figma, Adobe XD) into scalable and functional components.
• Strong understanding of design systems, reusable components, and visual consistency.
• Knowledge of user experience principles applied to enterprise applications.
• Ability to identify inefficiencies in user workflows and propose improvements.
• Focus on usability, performance, error handling, and user feedback states.
Preferred Skills
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and industrial data sources.
• Experience in Industry 4.0 or digital manufacturing environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP as a plus).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and environment management (DEV / QA / PROD).
• Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
