As a UI/UX Designer at Emetlab, you will craft the experiences that make complex AI data infrastructure feel effortless, intuitive, and unmistakably premium. In this role, you will own the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation through to high-fidelity interfaces and interaction design. You will shape how clients discover, configure, and receive datasets, how domain experts navigate contributor workflows, and how internal teams monitor quality assurance pipelines, ensuring every touchpoint feels polished, purposeful, and built for precision.

What You'll Do
Own the end-to-end design process from user research, wireframing, and prototyping through to final high-fidelity UI and interaction design. Design intuitive, elegant interfaces for complex workflows including dataset configuration, contributor task management, quality review dashboards, and client delivery portals. Conduct user research, usability testing, and accessibility audits to ensure every design decision is grounded in real user needs across both client and contributor experiences. Develop and maintain Emetlab's design system, establishing visual patterns, component libraries, and interaction guidelines that scale with the product. Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Operations teams to ensure designs are technically feasible, well-implemented, and delivered with fidelity. Create information architecture and data visualisation design that makes complex quality metrics, pipeline statuses, and dataset analytics immediately comprehensible. Champion clarity and usability at every level of the design process, ensuring the platform is efficient and delightful for users ranging from AI researchers to domain experts across 120+ countries.
What You'll Need to Succeed
2+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft across web and mobile applications. Strong command of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite, with experience building and maintaining design systems. Experience designing for data-rich environments, dashboards, or enterprise platforms where clarity and information hierarchy are critical. A refined eye for typography, colour, spacing, and visual hierarchy, with an instinct for creating premium, polished experiences. Experience thriving in fast-paced environments where you own the full design lifecycle and collaborate directly with engineers. A collaborative disposition, comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Operations teams to bring ideas to life. Genuine interest in AI, data systems, or building tools that empower expert communities is highly valued.
