UI / UX / Design Lead

SchoolApply is looking for a UI/UX Design Lead to take ownership of the SchoolApply platform(s).

Our Design Lead responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. To be considered for an interview, you must have an impressive portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web applications.

Responsibilities

• Gather and evaluate user requirements
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Design graphic user interface elements
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
• Create original graphic designs
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems
• Conduct adjustments based on user and business feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images

• Proven work experience as a Senior UI/UX Designer
• Portfolio of impressive design projects
• Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Good time-management skills
• BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field

The top candidates will be asked to conduct an assessment of SchoolApply's current design, UI, and UX. Based on the strength of your insight you will be invited to present your ideas to our management team (also known as a "job interview").
