uEHR Implementation Team: Project Manager

Valley Health System is seeking a uEHR Implementation Team: Project Manager. This role leads and coordinates cross-functional projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations. Responsible for project planning, resource coordination, risk and issue management, stakeholder communication, status reporting, and adherence to organizational project management standards. Partners with operational, clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders to achieve project objectives and drive successful outcomes. Demonstrates strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills while managing multiple concurrent initiatives.

Position Summary

The position manages moderate to large, cross-functional projects with defined scope and complexity, ensuring delivery within timelines, budget, and quality expectations.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline relevant to the supported function is strongly preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and 4 years of technical application experience in lieu of degree may be considered
• PMP Certification Required. 

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in information systems, application support, or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of project management experience preferred
• Experience working with application support, workflow analysis, and system configuration

• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex projects by managing scope, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Strong project planning and coordination skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple workstreams.
• Demonstrated expertise in budget management, resource planning, and financial tracking to ensure efficient project execution.
• Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks, issues, and dependencies while escalating concerns appropriately.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including status reporting, meeting facilitation, and executive updates.
• Experience applying project management methodologies, governance standards, and documentation best practices.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills with the ability to align teams and drive results in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and develop project team members while promoting consistent project management practices.
• Proven track record of independently managing high-complexity, high-risk initiatives with a focus on execution, accountability, and delivery excellence.

• Follow established project methodologies, tools, and documentation standards
• Maintain accurate project documentation, status reports, and deliverables
• Ensure compliance with defined governance processes

Team Collaboration & Development

• Coordinate work across cross-functional team members
• Support onboarding and knowledge sharing for team members
• Promote consistent project management practices across teams and departments
• Mentor and train others who are in project management roles
• Train team members who participate on project teams

Working Conditions

• Pleasant office surroundings. May have exposure to agitated, delirious, confused patients and/or family members exhibiting aggressive displays of threatening and/or violent behavior.
• Moderate. Lifting to 50 lbs. Sitting, bending walking as required for equipment installation and maintenance.
•  Typical hospital hazards. Is subject to stressful situations.

Actual individual salaries vary depending on these factors. The salary listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.Pay Range: $90,168.00 - $112,715.20
