Company Description

Fiji Water is bottle at source in a world class facility with state of the art equipment located at Yaqara and is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the open positions.

Job Description

  • Maintains fleet tyre stock and ensures accurate daily inventory control is maintained
  • Prepares and submits a monthly tyre report to the lead mechanic
  • Maintains and ensures proper storage for new tyres as per manufacturer’s instructions and conducts proper discharging of old and unrepairable tyres
  • Inspects truck and trailer tyres for signs of wear and tear including potential failure hazard, reporting and fixing as required.
  • Operates tyre machine and carries out tyre fittings as required
  • Ensures tyre bay and surroundings are maintained and cleaned in accordance to 5S standards before and after work.
  • Assists mechanics in performing mechanical diagnoses and repairs on Trucks, trailers and forklifts as and when required 
  • Supports organizational Safety, Quality and Environmental initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

  • Form 6 pass with prior knowledge of tyre related equipment and repairs is an advantage.
  • A valid group 2 driving license
  • Experience in automotive diagnosis and/or repairs is an advantage


Preferred

  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Able to perform independently
  • Team player
  • Has Microsoft excel knowledge and skills
