About the role
We are at an exciting time at MUBI and are looking for someone to push our award winning apps to the next level. We are a small but very effective team where every single team member heavily impacts how our apps are shaped.
MUBI is seeking a full-time frontend engineer to join our team of Product Engineers. The ideal candidate is familiar with Smart TV platforms, has worked with video streaming before. Your primary role will be to develop features and maintain our Smart TV landscape. We are looking for a self-motivated person who is keen on owning and driving our TV platforms.
This role is preferably based in Glasgow or Vienna, with an option to be within reasonable travel distance of those locations.
You will focus on:

You’ll be a part of our Apps & TV team to deliver the best experience of MUBI on a full range of TV platforms

Work closely with our product and design team to build out new features and streamline core features

Iterating our player stack

Continuously improving playback using tools like MUX
What you will bring:

A solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript as well as REST APIs

A strong grasp of the current web development landscape

Experience with development for Smart TV platforms (LG/Tizen) and its tooling

Knowledge of React

Self-motivated with a passion for owning platforms

Comfortable working in a highly agile, intensely iterative setup

Keen to learn new technologies and apply them across all platforms

Interest in native app development (Swift / Kotlin)
For employment in Austria the minimum salary for this position in accordance with the respective collective agreement is EUR 3.077 gross per month. The actual salary is dependent on your professional and personal qualifications.
