We are currently seeking an experienced, skilled, and passionate Senior ColdFusion Developer to support ColdFusion development projects at an U.S. Federal government agency. The Senior ColdFusion Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using ColdFusion. This role requires a deep understanding of ColdFusion, web development best practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Ideal candidates possess the technology skills, curiosity, and experience to drive ColdFusion development through all parts of the application lifecycle.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using ColdFusion.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Required Skills:
• The position requires the candidate to be a US Citizen **Active Top-Secret Clearance with polygraph required**
• Minimum of three (3) years of advanced ColdFusion development.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Experience with frameworks such as ColdBox, FW/1, or similar.
• Proficiency in database design and development, particularly with SQL Server or MySQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication in English and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with other programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, .NET, PHP).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
